Our Love Affair with Golf!

The Club At Prairie Falls Golf Club Review

While attending the LOG (Luxe Owners Rally) in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, we took some time to play a round of golf with our RV friends, Dave and Roger. We have met up with these two gentlemen a few times, but have never seemed to be able to get in a game.

Our RV & Golfing friends – Dave and Roger!

This time was different.

We booked a tee time at The Club at Prairie Falls. Not far from Coeur d’Alene, Prairie Falls Golf Club offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. I found their fairways well-groomed and their greens a bit difficult yet friendly.

Rick – our starter

At check-in, Casey offered us tips and tricks for playing “hopefully” our best round, and at the 1st Tee our Starter Rick, was eager to tell us all the secrets of the course. (And even recommended other courses to play in the area – which we will be taking him up on his advice!)

We learned from Rick, a little history regarding the course. Prairie Falls Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1999 and the second nine was added in 2000.

Though each nine has a unique character, they combine seamlessly to create a fair test. It’s an ideal course for high handicappers learning the game but it’s not an easy course by any means.

I found the front nine to have a more player-friendly layout with wide and forgiving fairways. Which of course I need more than Marc. On the front nine, I wasn’t penalized by my slightly errant hits from time to time.

But on the back nine – not so much.

Even though I had the opportunity to build up my score on the front nine, the tougher back nine provided less room for error. It was the back nine, with its links-style design, narrow fairways, and tricky greens with subtle breaks that seemed to kick my butt. Even though Marc did find some birdie opportunities available.

We had plenty of opportunities to get drinks from the beverage cart

We had a fun time playing Prairie Falls Golf Club and felt it was a terrific choice to catch up with friends while playing the game we love.

Based on our golf scorecard, The Club at Prairie Falls golf club is a Par course.
